TeraStation Operation
Notes:
• Settings for TeraStations other than the TeraStation 5000 series cannot be saved or recovered by this function.
• The firmware version of the TeraStation where the settings were saved is updated automatically.

Connect the USB memory device where the settings were saved to the USB 2.0 port of the TeraStation.
Note:
If using a TeraStation model with a USB 3.0 port, do not connect the USB memory device where the settings will be
saved to the USB 3.0 port.

In the TeraStation's Web Admin interface, click [Management].

Click
next to [Restore/Erase].

From [Target USB drive], select the USB memory device that is connected to the USB 2.0 port of the TeraStation.

Select [Transfer settings from a USB drive], then click [Execute].
This completes the recovery of the settings.
Recovering by Changing the Boot Mode Switch on the Rear
Panel When Starting the TeraStation
Notes:

• If the settings are recovered when the TeraStation is started, recovery is possible only in the TeraStation where
the settings were saved.
• The firmware version of the TeraStation where the settings were saved is updated automatically.

Connect the USB memory device where the settings were saved to the USB 2.0 port of the TeraStation.

If using a TeraStation model with a USB 3.0 port, do not connect the USB memory device where the settings will be
saved to the USB 3.0 port.
