Notes:
• During copying, the function button flashes blue. If the function button is pressed one more time while it is
flashing, the Direct Copy operation is aborted.
• The copy target folders below are automatically generated in the shared folder of the copy target location.

yyyy: Year that data was copied
mm: Month that data was copied
dd: Day that data was copied
Starting from the second time that the copy operation is performed, the folders below are created under the
date folder.
<Direct Copy folder>/yyyymmdd/n
yyyy: Year that data was copied
mm: Month that data was copied
dd: Day that data was copied
n: First time n = 0, 2nd time n = 1, 3rd time n = 2...
For digital cameras that are not in the USB mass storage class, all files in the digital camera are copied.
• To change the Direct Copy target folder, navigate to [Backup] -
next to [Direct Copy] - [Edit], select the
shared folder, and click [OK].

When the copy operation is completed, check that the access LED of the USB device is off , then remove the USB
device.
Note:
To dismount the USB device
To dismount the USB device if the TeraStation is on, hold down the function button for 6 seconds. The blue LED will
go out and the USB device is dismounted. You may now unplug it safely. If you turn off the TeraStation, the USB
device is already dismounted and you can remove it safely.
