Distillation Process Analyzer DPA-4.5
Installation and preparation for commissioning
6.7.2 Supplying with instrument air and nitrogen
Supplying with instrument air
Figure 6.1: Pressure regulator for
instrument air (3, 4) and nitrogen (2)
•
Make sure that the instrument air corresponds to the
specification (see page 50).
•
Open the system-side shut-off valve in the instrument air
supply line.
•
Check whether the screw connection on the instrument air
connection is sealed tightly.
•
Set the pressures on the pressure regulators (
3, 4
) of the fluid
technology module. The target values can be found on the
corresponding operational data plates on the analyzer. A
pressure regulator may be installed for the vortex cooler as an
option.
The analyzer is now supplied with instrument air.
•
Additionally set the vacuum ejector pressure regulator (1) to
the target value for DPA-4.5
LowP
(see page 50).
Supplying with nitrogen
Nitrogen is required for adding it to the distillation flask during the
distillation process and for measuring the fill level.
WARNING
Risk of ignition due to the addition of
instrument air
For this reason:
– Always use nitrogen as the bubble gas.
NOTE
If the necessary nitrogen is to be generated
using the optional nitrogen generator, please
also observe the operating manual provided with
the nitrogen generator.
•
The procedure is the same as with instrument air.
