10.5.7 Replacing the heating cartridges and/or flask bottom temperature sensor
If one heating cartridge is defective, the whole set has to be
replaced. The heating cartridges are easier to remove if the flask
bottom temperature sensor is removed first. If this is also defective,
you can replace it at the same time.
Required tools

2.5 mm Allen key

Plastic mallet
−
Supplied 3.9 mm cotter pin driver (see page 127)
To remove the heating cartridges, carry out the steps in 0
“Removing the distillation flask and expansion tank” on page 133
and then proceed as follows.

Clamp the distillation flask by the bolt of the steam temperature
sensor in a vise with smooth jaws.
