2.10 Securing against being switched on again
DANGER
Danger of death due to unauthorized restarting
During work in danger areas, there is the danger
that the power supply can be switched on without
authorization. This poses a life-threatening hazard
for the persons in the danger area.
For this reason:
– Adhere to the instructions in this operating
manual for securing the device against being
switched on again.
– Always follow the procedure described for
securing the device against being switched on
again.
Switch secured with lock

DO NOT SWITCH ON
The lock may only be removed
by: …………………
once it has been ascertained that there
are no persons in the danger area.
Securing against being switched on again:
•
Switch off the power supply.
•
If possible secure the switch with a lock and attach a
corresponding sign to the switch in a place where it can be
easily read.
•
Have the employee named on the sign keep the key safe.

The device may only be switched on

once it has been ascertained that there
are no persons in the danger area.
If it is
not
possible to secure the switch with a lock:
•
Put a corresponding sign in place.
•
Once all work has been conducted, make sure that there are
no persons in the danger area.
•
Make sure that all safety equipment is installed and fully
functional.
•
Only then should the sign be removed.
