10.5.5 Maintenance on the distillation flask
Depending on the product to be analyzed and whether distillation
takes place the product has finished boiling, coking may occur on
the bottom of the distillation flask. This residue accumulates over
time and can impair the function and measuring accuracy of the
analyzer.
Coking can be removed using a gentle blasting agent. If possible,
use a granulate made from nutshells for blasting. Other blasting
agents can roughen or damage the surface of the distillation flask.
Use a slightly angled pipe as a nozzle.
NOTE
The distillation flask can also be cleaned by the
manufacturer. To do this, send the distillation flask
to BARTEC BENKE. You can find contact details
on page 14.

Preparing for general maintenance
•
Switch off the analyzer (see page 111).
•
Secure the analyzer against being switched back on again.
•
Empty the components that carry the product.
Depressurize them.
•
Open the housing of the measuring unit (see 29).
