Replacing flame filters
•
Replace a flame filter immediately if:
−
The flame filter still has residual dirt in the flame filter gaps
after cleaning which cannot be removed.
−
If there are signs of corrosion or discoloration (possibly due
to a burning process) even only in a small area of the flame
filter, since the smallest changes in the gap width could
impair the functioning of the device.
−
The flame filter has become loose and the strips of the filter
disc can be moved easily.
New flame filters can be obtained from BARTEC BENKE. To order
them, information on the filter gap width, the material and the
angular offset of the gap in the flame filter (right = R, left = L) are
required.
The required information on this can be found on the tension strip
of the flame filter. The PROTEGO® brand label, flame filter
material, gap width, angular offset, type and year of production are
stamped there.
•
Compare the stamps and make sure that the spare flame
filter matches the original flame filter. Only then is the
required explosion protection for the Ex d box ensured!
