Installation and preparation for commissioning
6.7 Preparations for commissioning
Before commissioning, rinse the supply lines:
−
Instrument air
−
Nitrogen
−
Cooling medium (not necessary for devices with optional
chiller
)
−
Product
Rinsing is intended to remove dirt and air from the supply lines and
is only necessary during commissioning or after maintenance or
repair work to the supply lines.
6.7.1 Rinsing the instrument air and nitrogen supply lines
Rinsing the instrument air supply
line
1.
Close the system-side shut-off valve of the instrument air
supply line.
2.
Open the screw connection of the instrument air at the
instrument air connection slightly at first, when no more air
escapes, open it completely.
3.
Open the system-side shut-off valve in the instrument air
supply line carefully.
4.
Rinse the supply line for at least 2 minutes. If dirt is still
emerging after this time, keep rinsing until dirt stops
emerging.
5.
Close the system-side shut-off valve of the supply line.
6.
Connect the instrument air supply line again.
Rinsing the nitrogen supply line
WARNING
Danger of suffocation due to nitrogen
Nitrogen can escape! A high concentration in the
air can result in the lack of oxygen. Inhalation can
cause the loss of consciousness or even death.
For this reason:
– Make sure the room is ventilated adequately.
– If unknown concentrations or concentrations
above the limit values are present in the air, wear
suitable respiratory protection.
•
Purge the nitrogen supply line in the same way as the
instrument supply line (see above).
