Program control
General remarks
The control computer of the IOLMaster operates on the Windows
operating system. For safety reasons, the operating system is not
accessible to the user.
The known operating conventions of Windows analogously apply to the
user interface of the IOLMaster software. This refers to the use of
mouse/touchpad, the operation of buttons, the work with dialog boxes
and menus, confirmation by doubleĆclick, etc.
Note:
The system does not support all key combinations of Windows.
The special Windows keys that exist on some keyboards are
ineffective.
The IOLMaster software uses only a few forced processes.
The user may optionally switch between the available modes.
In rare cases, it may happen that Windows error messages appear on
the LC display. This might be the case, for instance, if the program run
is affected (mostly by external disturbances).
Risks to persons are definitely precluded by multiply existing safety
interlocks in hardware and software of the instrument.
If a warning message appears shut down the instrument and label it as
being defective. Then, call Carl Zeiss Meditec Authorized Service.
The instrument may be controlled via:
q
Buttons (using cursor, touchpad/mouse),
q
keyboard or
q
menus.
Some functions are alternatively operated by the pushbutton on the
joystick.
