Note:
Data records with an IOL power of "0 D" will not be included in
the optimization process.
In the optimization calculation, for every patient's data record
those lens constants are calculated as they would have to be
expected on grounds of the measured data and the results of
surgery. Then, the average (sum of all lens constants divided by
the number of patients) and the standard deviation are
calculated.
The program will delete those lens constants that show a
difference to the average larger than double the standard
deviation. The thus resulting average will be displayed as
optimized constant.
To obtain optimum constants, you should exclude patients with
preoperative, intraoperative or postoperative complications that
might affect the refraction state.
