Data export (optional)
Data may be exported to connected office management systems,
personal computers or diskettes.
Data export to office management systems can only be implemented by
the supplier of such systems. Please contact the supplier. Before the
export of data, select the export mode appropriate for the connected
office management system via Options ć> Setup ć> Program Settings.
For data export to a connected personal computer with a Windows
operating system (Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME), Carl Zeiss Meditec
supplies the corresponding accessories. These include a serial cable (null
modem, female/female connector) and software (on CDĆROM) to be
installed on the PC. Data is stored to a database on the PC. From there,
data may be exported to other file formats. The graphs of axial length
measurements are made available in JPEG format.
Data export includes patient data, measured values and calculated
IOL's. To activate data export to an office management system or a PC,
click the
Ć corresponding button or
Ć press the <
S
> key.
Data is transmitted through the serial cable to the connected PC.
Note regarding data export to a PC:
Ć The PC must have been switched on and the software for data
receipt started.
Ć On the screen of the IOLMaster, an export progress bar is visible.
Ć Data can be archived on the PC or processed appropriately.
Patient data may also be exported from the office management system
to the IOLMaster.
For data export to a diskette:

Data is made available in a text file (IOLMexport.csv) for archiving and
data analysis.
