Proper instrument use
q
Always enter patient data first (last name, first name, and date of
birth).
q
Before measuring the anterior chamber depth, inform the patient
that the light will flicker during the measurement.
q
Instantly turn off the power switch of the instrument and disconnect
the power cable if uncertain problems arise.
q
If the instrument does not respond to your commands, turn off the
power switch and then restart.
q
To exit the program when finished with use click on the button of the
toolbar.
Turn instrument off via the power switch.
Intended use
The IOLMaster is to be used only for the measurement of axial length,
corneal curvature, anterior chamber depth and optionally for
"WhiteĆToĆWhite" determinations of the human eye, as well as for the
calculation of the required intraocular lens.
The responsibility for any other use than the one intended exclusively lies
with the user.
The instrument may only be used in combination with accessory units
approved by Carl Zeiss Meditec. Please consult Carl Zeiss Meditec or an
authorized service representative regarding use of other accessories.
Disposal
The internal control computer of the device contains electric compoĆ
nents. At the end of its lifetime, it has to be disposed of in compliance
with relevant regulations.
