4. Select [Shutdown] from the System menu. The shutdown
confirmation window displays.
5. Select [Yes] to shut down the printer and exit the DocuSP
software. All currently processing and printing jobs are
completed before the shutdown occurs. You have the
opportunity to cancel the shutdown until jobs that are currently
printing and processing are complete by clicking [Cancel
Shutdown].
6. Restart the system by actuating the switch and wait for the
system to become fully operational. Once the printer and
processor are in the Ready state you can perform printing
operations.
7. Select each queue that should accept jobs by right-clicking it
and selecting [Accept Jobs] and if desired, [Release Jobs].
NOTE: You can use the <Ctrl> or <Shift> keys to select
multiple queues.
Restarting the DocuSP software
Use this procedure when a recovery procedure asks you to restart
the Xerox DocuSP software.
To restart the DocuSP software:
1. Open Queue Manager.
2. Select a queue. If more than one queue is present, choose
[Select All] from the View pull-down menu.
3. From the Queue pull-down menu select [Do Not Accept Jobs]
and [Do Not Release Jobs].
4. Wait for any jobs to complete processing and then select
[Restart] from the DocuSP System menu.
5. Click [Yes] to confirm your intention to restart. Wait for the
software to fully become operational. Once the printer and
processor are in the Ready state you can perform printing
operations.
6. Select all queues that should be accepting jobs. Right-click
and select [Accept Jobs].
7. Select each queue that should accept jobs by right-clicking it
and selecting [Accept Jobs] and if desired, [Release Jobs].
NOTE: You can use the <Ctrl> or <Shift> keys to select
multiple queues.
When to use an emergency power off
An emergency power off procedure should be used when the
power must be switched off immediately. It is recommended that
the controller be used to power off the printer.
