Using the Job Filter FAB to set the VPC Filter:
1. Determine the queue to which VPC jobs shall be sent. You
may also create a special queue for this; to create a new
queue, first follow the instructions here: Creating a new queue.
2. Select Queue Manager.
3. Select the queue for which you want to enable job filtering.
4. Disable the selected queue(s) by right-clicking on them and
selecting [Do Not Accept Jobs] from the context menu. This
action will prevent the queue or queues from accepting jobs
while you are modifying its properties.
5. Double-click the queue to open Queue Properties. The Queue
Properties tabset window opens.
6. Select the Settings tab.
7. From the Settings tab, select the Input/Format FAB.
8. Set the format to PostScript.
9. From the Settings tab, select the Job Filter FAB.
10. To use a job filter, select [Apply Filter]. The remaining fields
become active.
11. Select a filter name from the pull-down menu. If VIPP Projects
Container Filter is selected, perform the following:
12. If desired, select [Setup...] to edit VPC filter options. See Using
the VPC Filter GUI for more information.
13. Once you have made your settings, select [OK] to accept your
selections and return to the Job Filter FAB.
14. Select [OK] or continue setting Queue Manager properties.
15. In the Queue Manager window, enable the queue(s) by right
clicking and selecting [Accept Jobs] from the context menu.
Using the VPC Filter GUI
To use the VPC Filter GUI:
1. Open Queue Manager.
2. Double-click the desired queue to open the queue properties
window.
3. Select the Settings tab.
4. Select the Job Filter FAB.
5. Select [Apply Filter].
6. Select [VIPP Projects Container Filter].
7. Select [Setup...] to launch the VPCF GUI.
