5. Select the Rotation FAB. Use rotation to turn a page image
180 degrees from its current position (0 degrees represents no
rotation). You may need to rotate a page image so that it will
print properly when processed by a finishing device (for
example, to allow for right-side stitching or binding).
a. Choose 180 degrees (or 0 degrees if the job is already
rotated) from the Image Rotation pull-down menu.
b. Select [Override] if you want this setting to take
precedence over any rotation settings associated with
individual jobs.
6. Once you have finished making your selections click [OK], or
continue setting queue properties. Your selections will display
on each individual FAB.
The PDL Settings Tab
The options within the PDL Settings tab are used to associate the
queue with a specific decomposer that determines the resolution,
halftone, and the protected state of the system. The PDL Settings
tab contains the following FABs: PostScript/PDF, Advanced
PostScript, TIFF, PCL, ASCII, and if available, LCDS.
NOTE: If you do not have a valid PostScript license on the
system, you will not see a PostScript/PDF FAB.
NOTE: When you select the Override option for any queue
property, that selection will apply to any jobs submitted to that
queue and will take precedence over any property selections
made in the Job Manager or programmed into the job.
The PDL Settings tab contains the following selections:
•
Features within the PostScript/PDF FAB allow you to set
mode, resolution, VIPP, protection and advanced options.
•
Advanced PostScript: Set prescan options.
•
The TIFF FAB contains resolution settings.
•
The PCL FAB presents resolution, lines per page, orientation,
and advanced settings.
NOTE: If there is no PostScript license on your system, the
PostScript FAB will not appear, and since all ASCII jobs will be
processed either by the ASCII decomposer or the PCL
decomposer, PCL and ASCII will be combined on one FAB,
called PCL/ASCII.
•
The ASCII FAB contains font options.
