5. Within the Trapping Setup window, you may select pixel
values for the width and height parameters, from 0 to 20
pixels.
NOTE: The default setting is 1 pixel in both directions.

checkbox for [Image/Vector Trapping].
7. Select [OK] to accept the trapping settings, or [Cancel] to
reject changes. More Information...
Usage Advice: Generally, a trapping zone above 4 pixels is
visually obvious and not pleasing to the eye. A higher value
should be considered carefully; however, the ability to set a
higher trap zone has been included to give the user control
over individual images that have been poorly trapped
individually.
Two direction parameters are included because the feed
direction has a marginal effect on image quality. However, in
nearly all cases, the user would set these two values the
same.
If you are setting the trap width for a queue, you may choose to
set this option for override by selecting the [Override] check box in
the Color Properties tab.
Setting Image Adjustment options
The Image Quality: Image Adjustments FAB in the Queue
Properties window also contains settings that can be used more
effectively by skilled or advanced users. They are:
•
Lightness
–
controls the relative brightness of the color in the printer’s
gamut
–
can be set to the desired level +/-100 units using the spin
box
•
Contrast
–
controls the difference of tonal gradation between the light
and dark values within an image in the printer’s gamut
–
can be set to the desired level +/-100 units using the spin
box
