printing.
To use Sample Current Job:
1. Submit a job to the printer.
2. When the status of the job is either “printing” or “waiting for the
printer,” click the printer [Pause] button, which is located at the
top right corner of the main GUI.
•
If the job is “printing,” the sample page that prints will be
the next page of the job set after Pause is enforced.
•
If the job is “waiting for the printer,” the sample page that
prints will be the last page of the job set.
NOTE: Be sure to click the [Pause] button as soon as possible
when you see that the status of the job is “printing”, or “waiting
for the printer” because smaller jobs may print before a job
pause can take affect.
3. Once the printer has paused, click the job again and select
[Sample Current Job] from the Printer menu. A single page
prints so you can verify job settings. If you want to adjust any
job properties you will need to Hold the job. When a job is
held, it needs to process again before it can be printed. A
paused job does not need to process again when it resumes
printing.
If you are satisfied with the results of the printed output, click
[Resume], [Resume Printer] or [Resume All] and the entire job
set will print.
If you want to change properties, perform the following:
a. Right-click the job and select [Hold]. The job is placed in
the Inactive Jobs list where it can be accessed to change
properties.
b. Right-click the job, select [Properties...] and make property
adjustments.
c. Select [Release]. The job is placed back into the Active
Jobs list.
d. Select [Resume], [Resume Printer] or [Resume All] and
the entire job set will print.
Reposition Output
The Reposition Output feature allows users to move forward or
backward, or reposition, the output page printing on a job. On
legacy printing systems, this is called “spacing.”
NOTE: Complicated publishing application workflows are not the
target audience for this feature. A typical workflow for this feature
is a large or indefinite-sized, unfinished, 1-N job.
