8. Follow the dialog instructions. Enter the number that you want
to start numbering the jobs after the software is restarted. The
default is 1.
9. Select [OK]. The job database and accounting log are cleared
and the DocuSP software restarts.
Remote Services
This feature, available to the System Administrator, is used to
transmit printer data to Xerox Corporation. Additional services
include updating software, viewing services, and ordering
supplies. A subscription is required for each service.
NOTE: Remote Services is not available on non-networked printer
configurations.
Using Remote Services
To use remote services:
1. From the System menu select [Remote Services...]. The
Remote Services dialog window opens. The following
selections are available:
• Options menu:
– Synchronize with Xerox: The printer performs a
synchronization with a Xerox server to determine
what services are enabled on the printer.
– Configure Remote Services:
a. To use diagnostics effectively you should enter the
following information when your system is first
installed:
– HTTP Proxy Server (IP Address)
– HTTP Proxy Port
– Proxy User Name (if required by your proxy server)
– Proxy Password (if required by your proxy server
NOTE: The above fields can also be edited.
b. If desired, select [Enable] to use Remote Monitoring.
c. Set a Transfer Time.
d. Select a Frequency (hours).
e. Select either [Service] or [Service and Engineering].
f. Select [OK].
• System tab: presents printer services and transmission
details. Select [View Last Transmission] to see a text
version of the last sent transmission.
• Billing tab: displays billing history details.
