The unopened file must be sent directly to the controller.
As an example, if your TIFF image is located on the
desktop, right-click the image and select [Print]. Select
from the following:

Normal: Pins the TIFF image to the lower left corner of
the stock.

Centered on Page: The TIFF image is centered on the
stock.
d. The Job Progress window is enabled by default. If you
want to print jobs without the Job Progress window
opening, select [Do Not Show].
e. System administrators and operators can manage the
refresh interval of the Job Manager GUI. If this feature is
not enabled, the Job Manager GUI does not redisplay until
a job is received by the system or the user manually
refreshes the view. To set the Job Manager refresh interval
perform the following:
i.
From the Setup menu select [System Preferences...].
ii.
Select the Job Processing tab.
iii. Select [Refresh Interval].
iv. The default refresh interval for DC/NP is 1.0 second.
The refresh interval can be set from .25 to 5.0 seconds.
You can type a value in the text field or use the pull-
down menu.

Select [OK] to save to the refresh interval setting.

PDF Optimization allows for the caching of objects to
increase processing performance. Object caching is
utilized to:
–
reduce the size of the PostScript database
–
improve the performance of PDF jobs which include
repeated images.
Whereas PostScript files must be treated as a stream,
PDF files are organized like a database. A PDF file can
define an image once and then reference it many times.
Instead of embedding an image every time it is needed,
the first time that an image is encountered it is written to an
external file or cached.
Select a PDF Optimization:
–
Disabled: PDF optimization is not used.
–
Cache Where Possible: Graphics, text and image
objects are stored in a cache, so that the cached object
can be used again, instead of each object being
replicated in the PostScript stream.
g. Set the number of possible Parallel RIPs using the spin
box. This value can be set from a value of 1 (no Parallel
