Configuring Tray 6
Tray 6 is a dedicated high-capacity tray that holds A4-size (210 x 297 mm) paper or Letter-size (8.5 x
11 in.) paper. You can adjust the tray to hold either of these paper sizes.
Notes:
•
If the narrow SEF (Short-Edge Feed) conversion kit is installed, you can adjust the tray for
A4-size (210 x 297 mm), Letter-size (8.5 x 11 in.), or Legal-size (8.5 x 14 in.) paper.
•
If the wide SEF conversion kit is installed, you can adjust the tray for A3-size (297 x 420 mm) or
Tabloid-size (11 x 17 in.) paper.
1.
Open the door to Tray 6 and remove any paper.
2.
To adjust the two paper guides at the back of the tray, slide up the paper-guide retainer to the
unlock position. Move the paper guide to the new slot, then slide it down into position.
3.
To secure the paper guide, slide down the paper-guide retainer to the lock position.
4.
Load the new paper size into the tray, then close the tray door.
5.
To change the tray settings for the new paper size, refer to
Configuring Tray Settings
on page 167.
Wireless Network Adapter
The wireless network adapter is a USB device that transfers data between the printer and a wireless local
area network (LAN). The wireless network adapter supports common wireless security protocols, such as
WEP, WPA, WPA2, and 802.1X standard port-based network access control.
The wireless network adapter allows multiple users on a wireless LAN to print to and scan from Xerox
®
printers. The wireless network adapter also supports printers that include network scan and fax features.
