Stack the paper against the left rear corner of the tray as shown.

Insert letterhead and pre-printed paper face down with the top edge toward the front of the 

tray.

Load hole-punched paper with the holes to the left. 

Note: 

Do not load paper above the maximum fill line. Overfilling the tray can cause the printer   

to jam.

Close the tray. 

 

Loading Paper in Tray 5 

Tray 5 is located on the left side of the printer. You can close the tray when it is not in use. You can use 

the tray for small jobs or for jobs that use special media such as labels, transparencies, and envelopes. 

When the printer detects media in Tray 5, the control panel displays the paper settings for the tray. 

Confirm or change the settings for the media that is loaded in the tray. 

Note: 

Ensure that you select the correct media type for the paper that is loaded in the tray. The 

printer detects different types of media as each page travels through the paper path. If a paper-

type setting does not match the paper type loaded in the printer, the job stops printing.
