For short-edge feed, load original documents with portrait content face up in the automatic 

document feeder. 

 

Note: 

To insert special pages into the job, in Tray 7, load the pages face up and rotated 180 degrees 

from the pages in the automatic document feeder.

Adjust the width guides until they touch the edges of the paper. 

Note: 

Do not load paper above the maximum fill line. Overfilling the tray can cause the printer   

to jam.
