6.
Open the door to Tray 6, then wait for the tray to lower and stop. Remove any paper from the tray.
Note:
If a paper feed conversion kit is installed, the door to Tray 6 is absent.
•
To lower or raise the paper tray, ensure that the printer is not in Power Saver mode.
•
Press the white button on the right side of the door frame.
7.
Reload the tray with undamaged paper, then close the door to Tray 6.
8.
Push Tray 6 back into place so that it is connected to the printer.
Clearing Paper Jams from the Left Side Door Areas
To resolve the error that appears on the control panel, follow the instructions provided and remove all
paper from the left side door areas.
1.
Open the left side door of the printer.
WARNING:
The area around the fuser can be hot. Use caution to avoid injury.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the transfer roller. Touching the roller can reduce image quality.
Note:
Toner can adhere to the transfer roller. This does not affect print quality.
2.
Locate the fuser, labeled R3. Use the green tab to open cover 1a, then carefully remove any jammed
paper.
