15. Select the desired options in the Printer Properties window. If
you are in doubt, select default values for now except for the
Device Options and Graphics which need to be changed as
follows:
a. In Device Options, select the printer’s installed options.
b. In Graphics, enable a higher resolution if one in
available.
Your controller PPD is installed in Windows 95. To configure the
PPD, make these changes
1. Open Windows 95 if necessary.
2. Click Start, then Settings, and then Printers. This opens the
Printers Control Panel.
3. Highlight the new controller using the right mouse button.
4. Click Properties using the left mouse button. The Printer
Properties window appears.
5. Click the Details tab. Then make the following changes:
a. Change time-out settings as follows:
Not Selected from 15 to 300 seconds
Transmission retry from 45 to 900 seconds.
b. Click Spool Settings and set Spool Data Format to
RAW, and select disable bidirectional support for this
printer.
6. Click the PostScript tab. Then, change PostScript output
format to PostScript (optimized for portability - ADSC).
7. Select Advanced. When an advanced option window appears
select the following:
a. Under PostScript Language Level, select PostScript
Level 2 Features.
