4. Set up a chart, similar to the following example, to record the
Colortron dot area readings of the calibration strip.

5. Read the cyan color swatches with the Colortron, holding the
aperture over each swatch until the computer beeps. Begin
with the 100% cyan patch and continue in order to the 0%
cyan patch.
6. Record each Colortron reading in the chart you set up in step 4.
7. Repeat steps 3, 5, and 6 for each remaining color on the
baseline calibration strip. There will be 44 items in the untitled
folder when you have finished measuring all four colors.
8. Select Export As from the File menu. A screen with file
naming options appears.
9. Choose the format, name, and directory (we recommend the
XANTÉ directory) for the Colortron measurement data file.
a. For a Macintosh, select Tab Delimited as the format and
name the file with a .cal extension (Date#.cal, for
example).
b. For a PC, select Text File for the format and name the
file.
