to 300 and 900.

Make sure Fast Printing Direct to Port is not active unless you
use a Pentium processor.
Using TCP/IP Software
The first thing you need to do for TCP/IP printing is to setup the
controller’s TCP/IP address. You do this by
•
Determining the class of your network
•
Creating an address file which includes the IP address, the
broadcast address, and the network mask
•
Downloading the address file to the printer
Note:
Check with your system administrator on how to interface
with print spooling software.
Classes of Networks
IP and broadcast addresses depend upon the class of the network.
Also, some addresses are reserved (see “Reserved IP Addresses”
later in this chapter for details).
The following sample of a TCP/IP network address is for a class C
network (the most common type).
