Add or Reduce Vividness
If you want to add or diminish color making it more or less vivid,
increase or decrease the color saturation of the overall page. You can
do this using Photoshop’s Adjust Hue/Saturation feature.

Note: Select Master to increase saturation in all four color planes.
If a single color (RGB or CMYK) is selected, only that color
is changed. However, any adjustment to one color,
regardless of the editing tool used, affects the other colors
within the color model (space). Also, hue control should be
avoided because it changes the colors completely. Unless
you are seeking a special effect, you should not adjust the
hue control.
Choose a Color Model (Space)
When you make color corrections, you can choose either the RGB or
CMYK color space. We suggest you use the color space to which
you are the most accustomed. In either case, when you adjust within
one color space, the other color space adjusts accordingly.
Recalling some basic color theory can be helpful in understanding
how the RGB and CMYK color spaces interrelate. For each of the
primary colors in a space, there is a specific color associated with it
called the complementary color. On a color wheel or star these colors
appear opposite each other.
