Trapping Order
The Trapping Order options can be set only in the PPD. This menu
allows you to print a reconstructed color separation for pre-press
color trap proofing. Options are Printer’s default, None, Normal
(CMYK), QuarkXPress (KCMY), and Other (YMCK). The factory
default is Printer’s default.
Note:
You must create a color separation in your application when
using one of the Trapping Order options. Your controller
cannot complete the reconstruction if the color separation
data is not available. See “The Clear Trap Mode Menu” in
chapter 5 for information on clearing the controller from a
Trapping mode.
Fig. 6.13 The Trapping Options
Best Fit
The Best Fit options can be set through the PPD or the front panel.
This menu allows you to ensure that a job is sent to a printer with the
media size that best fits the image. Options are Printer's default,
True, and False. The factory default is Printer's default.
The controller always checks the enabled printers for the best size
media for a print job and sends the job to that printer, if that printer is
not busy. The Best Fit option, if enabled (TRUE), directs the
controller to hold a print job for a specific printer with the best fit
media, rather than send the job to the next available printer.
