Recommended Printer Settings
We recommend that you review your printer documentation to
ensure that the settings will be acceptable for your application. For
example: The factory default setting for the ENCAD NOVAJET
printer is CUTTER: ON. This may cause ink to smudge if the
printout drops to the floor or desktop before ink is dry on the entire
image. We recommend that you change this setting on the ENCAD
to CUTTER: OFF and save that change in the USER SETTINGS as
SAVE USER 1. This sets the printer default to CUTTER: OFF.
The Main Menus
Your controller contains four main configuration menus (fig. 5.2):
the Print menu (SETUP:PRINT), the Job menu (SETUP:JOB), the
Miscellaneous (SETUP:MISC) menu, and the Interface (SETUP:I/F)
menu, which allow you to configure your controller through the front
panel.
