About this Manual
This User’s Guide documents the installation, setup, and operation
of all models of the Accel-a-Graphix CT4. The following list briefly
describes the contents of each chapter.
Chapter 1—Introduction offers an overview of this manual and the
Accel-a-Graphix controller features. It also provides an overview of
XANTÉ Utilities and warranty and registration information.
Chapter 2—Installation provides instructions on setting up your
controller, connecting to the Macintosh and PC interfaces, and
installing optional SCSI disks and RAM upgrades.
Chapter 3—Macintosh Setup covers installing and configuring the
drivers, XANTÉ Utilities, Command Center, and XANTÉ Linearizer
in a Macintosh environment. This chapter also includes information
about using printer fonts and a checklist for initial printing setup.
Chapter 4—PC Setup covers installing and configuring the drivers,
XANTÉ Utilities, Command Center, and XANTÉ Linearizer in a PC
environment. This chapter also includes information about using
fonts and a checklist for initial printing setup.
Chapter 5—Configuration describes configuring and controlling
the Accel-a-Graphix CT4 using the front panel.
Chapter 6—Routine Operations discusses standard procedures for
using the PPD options; setting up and operating the Accel-a-Graphix
CT4 for use with Windows, Novell NetWare, and TCP/IP software;
using the spooler; using a SCSI disk; and moving and cleaning the
controller.
Chapter 7—Imaging Basics details how to achieve the best output
from the controller. Many aspects of basic imaging are explained.
