2. Tilt the SIMM to the right to a 45
°
angle and slide it up and
out of the bank (fig. 2.6).
3. Remove the upgrade SIMM from its protective bag.
4. Align the new SIMM at a 45
°
angle tilted to the right (with the
notched corner down) over the appropriate bank (fig. 2.6).
Then insert the SIMM into the bank’s connector.

Caution: A SIMM only fits in one direction. Do not force a
SIMM in place. If it does not go in easily, realign
it making sure that the notched corner is down and
that the SIMM seats correctly in the bank.
5. Gently push the SIMM to the left and up to a 90
°
angle (fig.
2.6) until the two bank latches snap into place in front.
