Introduction
This chapter covers setting up your controller to print in a PC
environment. This includes installing the XANTÉ Utilities,
Command Center, and Linearizer; setting up to print from Microsoft
Windows; and downloading printer fonts.
Before You Begin
You should be familiar with standard PC keyboard and mouse (if
applicable) procedures such as choosing commands, selecting
options, using buttons and boxes, locating files, and scrolling. If you
have questions on these procedures, see your DOS and mouse
documentation.
Note: Because XANTÉ is constantly improving our products, you
may find new utilities, feature upgrades, or changes in file
locations since this manual was printed. Please check the
README files on the XANTÉ Utilities disks for the PC for
the latest information.
Installing the XANTÉ Utilities (PC)
Your controller package includes a PC XANTÉ Utilities disk. This
disk contains controller specific drivers, programs, and PostScript
files to help set up, customize, and troubleshoot your controller in a
PC environment.
Note: If your PC only supports the 5.25" disks, call XANTÉ at
800-926-8393 in the US or Canada, at 95-800-926-8393 in
Mexico, or at 334-342-4846 from other countries for a copy
of the utilities on a 5.25" disk.
