Maintenance schedule
The maintenance intervals are given in each procedure related to the recommendations of
WinGD. The shown operating hours (or working hours) are always the total running hours of the
engine.
Data found during operation will show if it is possible to increase or decrease these
maintenance intervals. Reasons for a change of the intervals can be the items that follow:
•
Environmental and operation conditions
•
Heavy fuel oil and lubricating oil qualities
•
Engine load
•
Cooling water quality
•
Original spare parts used
•
Requirements of classification societies.
