The side-belt conveyor system is designed to keep the case square during sealing. This results in a
stronger seal and a better finished appearance. It occurs due to both conveyor side-belts being driven by a
single motor and reduction gear that inherently synchronizes belt speeds. Chain tension is maintained
during case width adjustments through a self-compensating serpentine configuration.
