Check the ‘S’ box for Satisfactory Performance and ‘US’ box for Unsatisfactory Performance.

Preliminary checks

Check if the machine is set up for the right case size.
Check if the machine is properly loaded, with the first case pushed into
the caliper slot.
With the manual shutoff valve
OPEN
, verify that the air pressure at the
main regulator is set to 90 PSI and that the pressure at both the jaw
servo regulator and the mast servo regulator is set to 70 PSI.
Verify that all guard doors are closed and that all personnel are clear.
Verify that the electrical power disconnect switch is turned
ON
and that
all
‘EMERGENCY STOP’
buttons are in the
OUT
position.
Check if the tape applicator is properly installed, loaded with a tape roll,
and ready to go.
Check if the
‘REMOTE DEMAND’
sensor is clear.
Verify that the screen is displaying the
‘Main Control’
screen. If not,
press the
‘MAIN CONTROL’
button in the bottom left of the screen.
6.2.2 Start-up Procedures
After completing the procedures outlined in Section 6.2.1:
‘Preliminary Checks’
, start the machine
as follows:
1) Press the
‘RESET’
button once.
‘READY’
appears on the display and air pressure will
now be applied to the various machine mechanism cylinders and they move to their
respective
HOME
positions as follows:

2) From here, you can choose to go either into
CYCLE
mode or into
JOG
mode.
3) Press
the
‘START’
button once. The feedbelts should start oscillating.
4) Check that the conveyor side-belts are tracking properly. They should be centered on the
drive pulley, properly tensioned, and in reasonably good condition.
