4.6.5 Low Pressure Switch
The WF30 is equipped with an adjustable low
pressure switch, which immediately shuts down
the machine when the pneumatic pressure has
dropped below 75 PSI. This feature is intended
to reduce case jam frequency by alleviating
conditions which are conducive to case jams
and irregular machine function.
When the low pressure switch is triggered, a
message appears on the touchscreen explaining
why the machine has stopped.
To re-pressurize the machine and resume
machine operation, refer to the following
procedure:
1) Press the
‘RESET’
button. This will return the machine’s mechanisms to their
HOME
positions.
2)
Press the ‘EMERGENCY STOP’ button
. This will shut off the electrical and air power to
the machine mechanisms. It may take a few moments for the system air pressure to
decline to zero;
wait until air pressure has fully exhausted and all mechanisms are
stationary before proceeding.
3) If required by local regulations or company policy, lock out the electrical power and air
supply before proceeding.
4) If the machine has stopped mid-cycle, open a guard door and remove any case
corrugate.
5) Inspect the machine for air leaks.
6) Make sure that the air compressor is operating properly and that the pneumatic supply
hoses are not leaking.
7) Pull
OUT
the
‘EMERGENCY STOP’
button, close the guard door (if applicable), and
press
‘RESET’
to re-energize the machine.
8) Check the pressure gauge for the valve bank regulator, the mast regulator and the jaw
regulator. The valve bank regulator should be set to 90 PSI, whereas the other two
regulators should be set at 70 PSI.
9) To adjust the pressure settings, pull down the black knob on the bottom of the pressure
gauge. To increase the pressure, turn the knob clockwise. To decrease the pressure,
turn the knob counter-clockwise.
10) Press
‘START’
on the touchscreen to restart the machine.

WARNING!
Do not attempt to change the factory-set minimum low
pressure setting on the low pressure switch. Any
changes to the low pressure setting may be hazardous,
and may void the machine’s warranty.
