4.2 Sensors
4.2.1 Optical Proximity Sensors
These infrared sensors are used to detect the position of the cases being formed as they proceed
through the machine. They help in timing the machine, and detect any faults in the process.

4.2.2 Inductive Sensors
Inductive proximity switches utilize non-contact sensing and solid-state circuitry to ensure
durability in the most hostile environments. They turn

when a steel target or flag moves into
their magnetic field. They monitor the position of the machine components, and are used to verify
if a motion has been completed before proceeding.
