46) ‘RAMP RATE (UP/DOWN)’ Button
To alter the forming head’s upward ramp rate, touch the
blue numerals of the
‘RAMP RATE (UP)’
button.
Touching this value will bring up a
TENKEY
keyboard
which can be used to change the value. Touch
ENTER
to set the new upward ramp rate value.
To alter the forming head’s downward ramp rate, touch
the blue numerals of the
‘RAMP RATE (DOWN)’
button.
Touching this value will bring up a
TENKEY
keyboard
which can be used to change the value. Touch
ENTER
to set the new downward ramp rate value.
47) ‘ACTUAL CPM’ Button
In the upper left-hand corner of the
‘Servo Settings’
screens is
‘Actual CPM’
display. This display may be
useful in comparing the CPM produced by the jaw and
forming head settings with the selected CPM for those
settings. The actual CPM value cannot be altered on the
touchscreen.
48) Mode Change Toggle Buttons
The normal way to adjust the jaw and forming plate
settings is in
JOG
mode, although operators can adjust
these settings while the machine is in
CYCLE
mode.
While adjusting the jaw and forming plate values, users
can toggle the ‘
CYCLE
MODE’
button, which will activate
JOG
mode. When this is done, the button will be
replaced with a blue
‘JOG MODE’
button. Users can
return to
CYCLE
mode by touching the ‘
JOG MODE’
button, thereby restoring the
CYCLE MODE
button.
Any changes that are made to the settings on the
‘Servo
Settings’
screens are immediately applied to the
machine. If the machine is in
CYCLE
mode, the
changes are implemented while the machine is
operating. In
JOG
mode, the changes are also
immediately applied, but do not take effect until the
operator touches the
‘START’
button, which jogs the
machine through the machine’s various functions one at
a time with each touch of the button.
In
CYCLE
mode, once the
‘START’
button has been
pressed, it is replaced with a red
‘STOP’
button.
Pressing the
‘STOP’
button will stop all machine
functions after the current function is complete.
Although it is not necessary to stop the machine while
making adjustments in
CYCLE
mode, it is recommended
that you stop the machine, apply your desired setting
changes and then restart the machine once the settings
have been applied.
