1. "Shutdown the Terminal" from Management Functions.
2. Unlock and open the control pan el.
3. Push the AC pow er ON/OFF switch to the OFF(0) po si tion.
4. Refer to Figure 3-42A. Dis con nect the tele phone line from the left side of the
Mutitech USB mo dem and the USB cable from the docking board.
5. Refer to Figures 3-42A and 3-42B. Press the release tab (toward the main-
board) and carefully slide the MultiTech USB modem upward until it clears
the retention bracket
6. Remove the MultiTech USB modem from the control panel

1. Make sure the AC pow er ON/OFF switch is in the OFF(0) po si tion.
2. Refer to Figures 3-42A and 3-42B. Press the release tab (toward the main-
board) just enough to push the MutiTech USB modem (on its side, LEDs
facing forward with the USB cable on the right side) down into the retention
bracket.
3. Refer to Figure 42A. Connect the tele phone line to the jack on the left side of
the MutiTech USB modem.
4. Refer to Figure 42A. Plug the USB cable into the modem USB port on the
docking board.
5. Push the AC pow er ON/OFF switch to the ON(I) position.
6. Close and lock the control pan el.
7. Verify that the ATM op er ates cor rect ly before plac ing it into ser vice.
