The Purge diagnostic command instructs the SDD to remove all notes from the
transport. This command is typically used to clear note jams, particularly in the
belt transport area (refer to Figure 3-105) and reset the dispenser. Notes will
normally go to the reject area in the top of the cassette. However, under error
condition the notes may exit the mechanism.
The Test Dispense diagnostic command instructs the SDD to dispense a speci-
fi ed number of documents (8 maximum) into the reject area of the cassette.
Refer to Figure 3-106. Each time the Test Dispense command is executed, the
"Total reject count" and "Last command reject count" on the Dispenser Status
Report should increment by the number of notes selected.
