If Error Code 617 will not clear, there may be a problem with the EPP Assembly,
the mainboard, or the software. If the Error Code 617 clears, it will be replaced
with error code 190 (PIN Master Key Not Confi gured). It will be necessary to
enter the PIN Master Key and download the Working Keys*.

1. Log into Management Functions.
2. Select option 7, Key Management.
3. Select option 1, Enter Master Keys.
4. Enter the default six (6) zeroes (0's) for the User 1 password. Press Enter.
5. Enter the default six (6) zeroes (0's) for the User 2 password. Press Enter.
6. A prompt to change the default User passwords will appear. Press Enter.
7. Select option 3, Change User 1 Password. Press Enter.
8. Enter the default six (6) zeroes (0's) for the User 1 password. Press Enter.
9. Enter six (6) new characters for the User 1 password. Press Enter.
10. Enter the same six (6) new characters for the User 1 password to confi rm.
Press Enter.
11. Select option 4, Change User 2 Password. Press Enter.
12. Repeat steps 8-10 for User 2.
13. Press Cancel.
14. Select option 1, Enter Master Keys.
15. Enter the new six (6) character password for the User 1. Press Enter.
16. Enter the new six (6) character password for the User 2. Press Enter.
17. Select option 2, PIN Master Key. At the New Key prompt, press Enter.
18. Enter the fi rst part (32 characters) of the PIN Master key provided by the
processor. Press Enter using the designated F7 function key. Verify the re-
turned check digits.
