5. Feed the panel lead through the front of the se cu ri ty container door and then
insert the com bi na tion panel onto the shoulder screws which at tach the com-
bi na tion mount ing plate to the front of the door. Turn the com bi na tion dial
clock wise until the dial stops, then turn the dial counter clock wise until the
num bers aligned ei ther ver ti cal ly or horizontally (de pend ing on the mod el of
the cab i net). Refer to Figure 3-143 for as sem bly of the lock.
6. Feed the end of the com bi na tion panel lead through the center of the sec ond
plastic bush ing. Make sure the fl at side of the bushing is fac ing outward.
Slide the bushing down the spindle so that the channel in the spin dle is
aligned with the slot in the bush ing.
7. Place the deadbolt assembly onto the spindle and at tach to the back of the
door using the mount ing screws supplied. Make sure the combination pan el
lead exits the bottom of the lock. Plug the com bi na tion pan el lead into the
top re cep ta cle on the dead bolt con nec tor. Make sure the connection is se cure
by gently pulling on the wire to make sure it does not dis con nect from the
dead bolt assembly.
8. Open the battery box and install a new 9 volt bat tery. Connect the plug on
the end of the battery box lead into the lower receptacle on the dead bolt
con nec tor. Make sure the connection is secure.
