Calibration
Calibration of the individual MFC outputs

7.
As alluded to earlier, a calibration of 2-7 points can be accomplished by
pressing the corresponding entry for the point on the ‘Enter Measured
(ccm)’ column. It is recommended to ideally start from the highest
desired flow controller set point and move toward the lowest. After
entering the screen corresponding to the desired point, as shown below,
allow sufficient time for the flow meter reading to stabilize. It is also
recommended to apply averaging to the flow meter reading, if available,
to obtain the best possible reading.
8.
Enter the flow meter reading in the ‘Enter Measured Flow’ field, and
go back to the previous screen.
9.
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 for the rest of the desired calibration points.
10.
After completing the calibration, proceed to the previous screen to
confirm that the calibration is valid (Cal Status: OK). Based on the
entered flow meter readings for the corresponding flow set points, the
instrument calculates a linear fit and evaluates the slope and r2 values
against internally defined limits. A Cal Status of “Fail” will set the slope
back to 1.0, and will require a re-calibration to clear the “Fail” Status.
