SFP module installation
There are several types of optional SFP modules available:
•
MP-SFP 10GESR: 10G Ethernet short-range SFP+ transceiver (850 nm)
•
MP-SFP 10GELR: 10G Ethernet long-range SFP+ transceiver (1310 nm)
•
MP-SFP 25GESR: 25G Ethernet short-range SFP28 transceiver (850 nm)
•
MP-SFP 25GELR: 25G Ethernet long-range SFP28 transceiver (1310 nm)
NOTE.
ST2022-7 requires two 10 (or 25) GE SFP modules to be installed. The
modules need to be installed in SFP ports 1 and 2.
MPI2-25 SFP module
installation
To install the SFP module on an MPI2-25 monitor, insert the module into the SFP
connector. The module will latch into place when fully inserted.
NOTE.
There are different types of SFP modules for 10GE and 25GE signals. If
the SFP module does not match the unit signal setting (for example, a 25GE SFP
module is installed and the unit is set for a 10GE signal), the Link Status (in
Network, under Settings) returns “SFP Error.”
To remove the SFP module, lift
up
on the latch and then pull the module out
of the SFP connector.
NOTE.
Different types of SFP modules may have different latching mechanisms.
MPX2-25 SFP module
installation
To install an SFP module on an MPX2-25 monitor, insert the SFP module into the
SFP connector.
To remove the SFP module, pull
down
on the latch and then pull the module out
of the SFP connector.
NOTE.
To ensure you are using the correct SFP connectors, the 10GE, 25GE,
and SDI SFP connectors are marked on the back of the MPI2-25
(See MPI2-25
rear panel connectors.)
and MPX2-25.
(See MPX2-25 rear panel connectors.)
Different types of SFP modules may have different latching mechanisms.
