See the installation and safety instructions manual that shipped with your 
instrument for basic installation instructions. 

After your instrument is physically installed, you might want to connect it 
directly to a PC or to a network. This section explains how. 

 

Connecting directly to a

 

PC

 

 

To connect your instrument directly to a PC: 

1.

 

Connect the instrument directly to a PC with an Ethernet cable. You can also 
use an Ethernet Switch. (See 

Figure 6

.) 

2.

 

Set up the instrument as described in this procedure. Choose Manual IP 
mode to set the IP address manually. Be sure to set an address that is 
compatible with the setting of your PC. The default IP address of the 
PRISM monitor is 192.168.1.2.
