1E-8 Engine Lubrication System:
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points:
• Apply engine oil to the O-ring.
CAUTION
!
Use a new O-ring to prevent oil leakage.
Oil Jet (For Cylinder Head)
Removal
1) Remove the engine assembly. Refer to “Engine
Assembly Removal in Section 1D (Page 1D-18)”.
2) Separate the crankcase, upper and lower. Refer to
“Engine Bottom Side Disassembly in Section 1D
(Page 1D-59)”.
3) Remove the oil jets (1).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Refer to
“Engine Top Side Assembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-
30)”.
Oil Jet (For the Piston Cooling and Transmission)
Removal
1) Remove the engine assembly. Refer to “Engine
Bottom Side Disassembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-
59)”.
2) Separate the crankcases, upper and lower. Refer to
“Engine Bottom Side Disassembly in Section 1D
(Page 1D-59)”.
3) Remove the crankshaft assembly. Refer to “Engine
Bottom Side Disassembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-
59)”.
4) Remove the piston cooling oil jets (1) from the upper
crankcase.
5) Remove the oil jet (2) (for transmission) from the
lower crankcase.
