Rear Cylinder
1) Remove the rear cylinder (1).
NOTE
Firmly grip the cylinder at both ends, and lift
it straight up. If the cylinder does not come
off, lightly tap on the finless portions of the
cylinder with a plastic hammer.
2) Remove the rear cylinder gasket (2) and dowel pins.
Rear Piston
1) Place a clean rag over the cylinder base so as not to
drop the piston pin circlips into the crankcase.
2) Remove the piston pin circlip (1).
3) Draw out the piston pin (2) and remove the piston
(3).
NOTE
Scribe the cylinder number on the piston
head.
Engine Top Side Assembly

Assemble the engine top side in the reverse order of
disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:
Piston
• When installing the piston pins, apply molybdenum oil
solution onto each piston pins.
M/O: Molybdenum oil (MOLYBDENUM OIL
SOLUTION)
NOTE
When installing the pistons, the indent “A”
on the piston head must be faced to each
exhaust side.
