Drive Cycle
ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS)
5. DRIVE CYCLE D
DRIFT DIAGNOSIS
1) Make sure that the engine coolant temperature at engine starting is less than 30°C (86°F).
2) Check that the battery voltage is more than 10.9 V and that more than 9.6

(2.5 US gal, 2.1 Imp gal) of
fuel remains.
3) Make sure that the engine coolant temperature rises for more than 10°C (50°F) from the level of engine
starting and is also above 75°C (167°F).
4) Idle the engine for more than 120 seconds in the condition of step 3.
STUCK DIAGNOSIS
1) Make sure that the battery voltage is more than 10.9 V.
2) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. <Ref. to EN(H6DO)(diag)-45, Clear Memory Mode.>
3) Drive the vehicle for the distance equal to the fuel of 50

(13.2 US gal, 11 Imp gal).
NOTE:
• It is possible to drive intermittently.
• Do not disconnect the terminal of battery during diagnosis. (Data will be cleared when disconnecting the
battery terminals.)
6. DRIVE CYCLE E
1) Make sure that the battery voltage is more than 10.9 V.
2) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. <Ref. to EN(H6DO)(diag)-45, Clear Memory Mode.>
3) Drive the vehicle for the distance equal to the fuel of 30

(7.9 US gal, 6.6 Imp gal).
NOTE:
• It is possible to drive intermittently.
• Do not disconnect the terminal of battery during diagnosis. (Data will be cleared when disconnecting the
battery terminals.)
7. DRIVE CYCLE F
DRIFT DIAGNOSIS
1) Make sure that the engine coolant temperature at engine starting is less than 30°C (86°F).
2) Start the engine, and warm it up until engine coolant temperature increases over 95°C (203°F).
3) After the engine has reached the state of procedure 2), idle the engine for more than 10 minutes.
NOTE:
Do not disconnect the terminal of battery during diagnosis. (Data will be cleared when disconnecting the bat-
tery terminals.)
*P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
Diagnosis completes in drive cycle
A or B as well.
*P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
Diagnosis completes in drive cycle
A or B as well.
*P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected
Diagnosis completes in drive cycle
A or B as well.
