BlueScale Status Icons
Icons indicate the status of a component and the highest severity level for
any system messages, as described in the following table. Click the icon to
view the related system messages.

The BlueScale web interface lets you configure how the nTier500 operates,
manages RAID volumes, and monitors the status of system components,
including the drives and the battery backup, view system-wide metrics,
monitor system health, and update firmware.
Logging In

Open a web browser on a computer on an active network that has
access to the nTier500.
The BlueScale web interface supports the following standard web
browsers.
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6.0 or later
Mozilla FireFox 2.0 or later
Icon
Meaning
Component OK.
The component is functioning correctly.
Information.
An informational message about a system component is
available. Check messages to determine the component.
Warning.
A system component requires attention. Check messages to
determine the component.
Error.
A system component has experienced an error condition. Check
messages to determine the component and its error condition.
Unknown.
The status of the system component cannot be determined.
Check messages to determine the component.
Important
Do not use the
Enter
key on your keyboard when making on-screen selections in
the BlueScale web interface. Various web browsers handle the
Enter
key
differently, causing inconsistent behavior in the BlueScale web interface.
Always use your mouse to make selections and click the buttons in BlueScale
screens instead of using your keyboard.
