The replication sets (also known as replication policies) that you create
using the BlueScale web interface specify which folders and volumes are
replicated and where. After the replication sets are configured, the DFS
feature of the Windows Storage Server operating system transparently
handles the replication process.
For information about DFS and the replication service, read the following
Microsoft documents:

Before you can use replication through the BlueScale web interface, you
must meet the following requirements:
Make sure your antivirus software is compatible with DFS Replication.
Contact your antivirus software vendor to check for compatibility.
Install and configure Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS) and
Active Directory on the domain. Refer to the Microsoft documentation
for DFS and Active Directory for instructions.
Install and configure both the local nTier500 and the remote nTier
appliance on the same domain.
Obtain the user name and password for an account that has domain
administrator privileges on the same domain as both nTier appliances.
Configure the DFS replication service on both nTier appliances (see
Configure the nTier500 Server for DFS Replication on page 115
).
Make sure that the folders to be replicated are stored on NAS logical
volumes and that both the local nTier500 and remote nTier appliance
have at least one NAS logical volume available for storing the
replication data.
